How the daily Salon works

    Today's topic, at random

    At 6 PM Eastern the Salon reads the live Trend Radar board — the ten alignment terms gaining the most momentum in current news — and draws one at random, then frames it as a sharp, debatable question. Different day, different question.

    The full debate, unattended

    The same screened, guardrailed panel of six specialists debates across three rounds, opened and closed by the neutral Facilitator — running on Claude via the Netlify AI Gateway, with no one needing to press a button.

    Preserved for readers

    The Facilitator's closing — its summary, key findings, final synthesis, and three verified readings — is saved to the gallery below. Readers can also add a debate they convened themselves from the Roundtable.

  • Grounded reading, always. The three readings on every entry are chosen from a small, human-verified library. The panel can only point at sources that already exist there — it never invents a title or a link.
  • Screened, not censored. Both the daily topic and any reader-saved debate pass the same guardrail used in the Roundtable before they can appear here.
  • First entry follows the first deploy. The daily Salon and the gallery database activate once the site has a production deploy; the gallery fills in from the first evening run onward.
